Rob and Khai came to visit Japan as their honeymoon trip last week. It was really great to see two of my buddies from college. I think it had been about 6 years since I last visited them in Chicago. Nothing seemed to change except for Rob's weight. Dude, you gotta quit smoking and get back into shape!
Anyway, it was also good to find that they were still a bum and didn't contact me in advance. This was the email I got in the morning...
I got this email on Wednesday morning. Since I had plans for Thursday and Friday nights, I decided to meet up with them that night. But when I think back, maybe they wanted to spend a romantic time in Tokyo just by the two of them.
You know, hoping to do the "Lost in Translation" thang or something. But I didn't allow them to do that and dragged them to come to my funky office where Sofia Coppola has visited couple months ago. She seemed really eager to get an offer to make TV ads in Japan just like in the film (not Suntory though).
So Here they are, new Mr. and Mrs. Yang arriving safely at JR Meguro Station.
Reception jacking!! Noriko in the house!! (click the photo for enlarged image.)
Rob and Khai jacking my desk!! Mosi Mosi Tokyo!
Checking out new ads with the wireless headphone.
Sitting on the lovely lip shaped couch, aka Honeymooning in the office!!
Khai says "Hmm, I like this new Vidal Sassoon ad!"
Nick says "OK, let's try it out!"
After they honeymooned around my office, we went to Shibuya to eat dinner at Restaurant Bee8 where I hang out regularly.
After dinner, I took them to a famous and popular store called Don Quixote since they are open 24 hours a day (Don Quixote is equivalent to Wal-Mart in the US). At Don Quixote, Rob found a good honeymoon gift for his wife Khai.
Hmm, let's have a closer look at what he grabed for his lovely wife...
oops, no comment!
Rob also found something else for his lovely wife...
Hey, Khai! You wanna take this pink elephant back home?
No Thanks!
So you had a peek at Rob and Khai's crazy night out in Tokyo. I hope they had fun. If any of my IU friends reading this blog and wants to come to Tokyo to check out Don Quixote, please make sure to email me prior to coming to Japan... You know, unike the new Mr. and Mrs. Yang :-)
Nick sending peace and love from Tokyo!
Good night foks!
zzz....
Pretty cool page, dj nick! Yeah, I know I'm fat ass now, but wait until the next time I visit Japan in 10 years. I'm going to be a stick.

Whether Mr.Rob bought honeymoon goods or not worried me. ( It is a joke. )
Nick, Did he buy that square box?
( I guess Nick bought it. )
Nick's warm character had come out very well, I thought.
I am wishing that two persons become fortunate.
( I'm sorry for my poor English )

Were they really having fun in Japan?
We, Japanese, go to honeymoon trip abroad very often. Hey, Nick, you're gonna do so, too?
We should reconsider domestic discovery.

It looks like you guys all had a great time in Tokyo--I'm sooo jealous but glad I was able to give everyone's contacts to Khai & Rob before they went to Japan. Actually, they wrote me from Tokyo and told me they forgot to bring them so I had to give them again! Hence the short notice, I guess?? Haha. Anyway, you guys MUST come to New York City soon! Nick is running the NY Marathon this Nov. right? We should all get togehter!! Let's party in the city that never sleeps! Maki :)
